Mini Open Mesh GRP Marina Decking Specification
The 12mm × 12mm Mini Open Mesh configuration provides a more enclosed grating surface than standard open mesh GRP while retaining an open construction that allows water to pass through the decking.
The range is available in 14mm, 22mm, 30mm and 38mm panel depths, with different panel sizes available depending on the selected depth. The gritted surface provides additional slip resistance in wet conditions.
Panel depth should be selected according to the required loading, unsupported span, supporting structure and installation arrangement.

Mini Open Mesh Compared with Micro Mesh
Mini Open Mesh uses a 12mm × 12mm open hole, compared with the 8mm × 8mm opening used on Micro Mesh. Micro Mesh therefore creates a more enclosed grating surface. Panel depth for either system should be selected according to the required unsupported span, loading, supporting structure and installation requirements.

Provide the required panel dimensions, support centres and anticipated loading, together with details of the supporting structure. Any cut-outs, openings or other fabrication requirements should also be identified before the panels are prepared.
Yes. Mini Open Mesh panels can be cut and fabricated to suit project dimensions, including openings and cut-outs required around existing structures. Accurate dimensions should be established before fabrication.
It can be fitted to a suitable existing structure, subject to the condition and arrangement of the supports. Support centres, anticipated loading and the proposed fixing arrangement should be checked before the panels are specified.
The fixing arrangement depends on the supporting structure and installation requirements. Stainless steel fixings are available for GRP decking in marine applications, with the appropriate fixing selected according to the panel and supporting structure.
Cut panels still need to be adequately supported and fixed as part of the completed installation. Panel dimensions, cut edges, support positions and the location of any openings should therefore be considered when planning the fabrication and supporting structure.
Yes. Panels can be fabricated to accommodate existing structures, services and other obstructions where required. The position and dimensions of any cut-outs should be established before fabrication, with the surrounding support arrangement considered as part of the installation.
